What do you mean by that phrase, before Jesus returns? Also, in what way will the Jewish people recognize and receive Jesus as the Messiah?
The Jewish Bible says that a supernatural person will be revealed at the end of human history. (Daniel 7:13,14) He will not make his appearance as some great political or religious world leader. He will be none other than God himself invading history to judge this world and establish his eternal Kingdom.
The Bible refers to this event as the Second Coming of the Messiah, a day when God visibly comes for His people. God chose Israel above all nations to reveal Himself and to give the world its promised Savior. The greatest mystery of history has been, then, why Jesus was not accepted by the rabbis when he first came to Israel. As a consequence, many Christians have mistakenly believed this Jewish rejection of Jesus to mean that God abandoned the Jews.
Some even teach that the Church has replaced Israel as God's people. God has never forsaken the Jewish people. Proof - today there are thousands of Jewish people that have accepted Jesus as the Messiah. They are called completed or Messianic Jews.
Paul, a Rabbi who wrote over half of the New Testament, said, "I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery. . .Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved . . ." (Rom. 11:25,26)
Could this Messianic Jewish movement be the sign of the beginning of the end of this age. What do you think?
